HOCATT® and Hormone Health: A Whole-Body Approach to Longevity
Hormone health is an important part of how we feel as we age. Changes in estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid hormones, and other key messengers can affect energy, metabolism, mood, sleep, sexual wellness, body composition, and overall quality of life.
For some patients, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) may be part of a personalized approach to restoring hormonal balance. But hormone levels are only one piece of the bigger wellness picture.
Circulation, stress, cellular health, recovery, inflammation, and the body’s natural metabolic processes can all influence how we feel from day to day.
That is why Regenerative Medical Institute takes a comprehensive approach to wellness. One of the technologies available at RMI is HOCATT®, a multi-modality wellness system that combines several complementary therapies into a single 30-minute session.
What Is HOCATT®?
HOCATT® stands for Hyperthermic Ozone and Carbonic Acid Transdermal Technology.
Rather than offering one wellness modality at a time, HOCATT combines multiple technologies during one seated session. Depending on the protocol, these may include:
- Transdermal ozone
- Carbonic acid (CO₂)
- Steam and whole-body hyperthermia
- Far infrared
- Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology
- Microcurrents
- Oxygen breathing
- Photon light
- Additional supportive technologies
The result is what is sometimes referred to as bio-stacking: combining complementary wellness modalities so they can be experienced together rather than scheduling multiple separate treatments.
For patients interested in longevity, recovery, and whole-body wellness, this approach can make it easier to address several areas of health within one personalized plan.
Why Are Therapies “Stacked” Together?
The body does not operate as a collection of isolated systems.
Circulation affects oxygen and nutrient delivery. Stress can influence sleep, metabolism, hormones, and recovery. Cellular energy affects how we feel and function. Healthy metabolic and elimination pathways help the body process what it no longer needs.
HOCATT is designed around this interconnected approach.
For example, a HOCATT session begins with carbon dioxide, which interacts with moisture in the chamber to create carbonic acid. Along with heat and steam, this helps support circulation and prepares the skin for the transdermal ozone portion of the session.
Far infrared heat and hyperthermia provide additional warmth, while other modalities such as PEMF are incorporated into the same session to support cellular wellness and recovery.
Rather than looking at each modality separately, HOCATT brings them together as part of one comprehensive wellness experience.
The Missing Link in Hormone Health: Looking Beyond Hormone Levels
When patients experience symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, changes in weight, low libido, mood changes, or decreased stamina, hormone testing can provide important information.
For patients who are appropriate candidates, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy may help address hormonal changes associated with aging and other imbalances.
But achieving an optimal hormone level on a laboratory report is not always the entire goal.
At RMI, hormone health is considered within the context of the whole person.
Sleep, stress, nutrition, activity, circulation, metabolic health, recovery, and other factors may all affect how a patient feels—even when hormone levels are being actively managed.
This is where complementary wellness therapies such as HOCATT can become part of a broader strategy.
HRT addresses hormone balance directly, while supportive technologies can focus on other aspects of wellness that contribute to how the body functions and recovers.
How Can HOCATT Complement a Hormone Wellness Plan?
HOCATT is not a replacement for hormone therapy, medical evaluation, or individualized treatment. Instead, it may be incorporated alongside a patient’s broader wellness plan.
There are several areas where the two approaches naturally intersect.
Supporting Healthy Circulation
Healthy circulation is important throughout the body because blood flow delivers oxygen and nutrients to tissues.
HOCATT incorporates carbonic acid, heat, steam, far infrared, and other technologies designed to support circulation and oxygen delivery.
For patients using transdermal forms of hormone therapy, such as creams, gels, or patches, maintaining healthy skin and circulation is also an important part of overall treatment management.
The timing and application of any prescribed hormone medication should always follow the instructions provided by your medical provider.
Supporting Cellular Wellness and Recovery
Hormones function as chemical messengers, communicating with cells throughout the body.
Because of this, hormone health is closely tied to broader cellular wellness.
HOCATT combines modalities such as PEMF, far infrared, oxygen, microcurrent technology, and ozone within one session to support overall wellness, energy, and recovery.
This complements RMI’s larger philosophy of addressing the body as an interconnected system rather than focusing solely on one laboratory value or symptom.
Managing Stress and Supporting Recovery
Chronic stress can influence many aspects of health, including sleep, appetite, energy, metabolism, and hormonal balance.
Cortisol is one of the body’s primary stress hormones, and prolonged stress can contribute to changes in how a person feels physically and emotionally.
Relaxation and recovery therefore matter when building a comprehensive hormone and longevity plan.
The warmth of steam and far infrared, along with the relaxing environment of a HOCATT session, can provide an opportunity to support recovery as part of a broader lifestyle strategy.
Supporting the Body’s Natural Elimination Processes
Hormones do not simply enter the body and remain there. They are continually metabolized, processed, and eliminated.
The liver, kidneys, digestive system, skin, and other systems all play roles in the body’s normal metabolic and elimination processes.
HOCATT’s steam and hyperthermia components promote sweating, while the overall system is designed to support circulation and the body’s natural wellness processes.
For patients receiving hormone therapy, supporting whole-body health remains an important part of long-term wellness.
HRT and HOCATT: Two Different Pieces of the Wellness Picture
One helpful way to think about the relationship between hormone therapy and supportive wellness technologies is that they serve different purposes.
Hormone therapy focuses specifically on identifying and addressing hormonal needs.
HOCATT focuses more broadly on creating a multi-modality wellness experience that supports areas such as circulation, relaxation, cellular wellness, recovery, and the body’s natural metabolic processes.
They are not interchangeable—and HOCATT does not replace appropriate hormone evaluation or treatment.
Instead, they can represent two different parts of a comprehensive approach to healthy aging.
The goal is not simply to improve one number on a laboratory report. It is to help patients feel stronger, more energetic, more resilient, and better supported as they age.
A More Customized Approach to Longevity at RMI
At Regenerative Medical Institute, no two patients follow exactly the same wellness path.
Some patients may benefit from Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy or Complete Hormone Care. Others may be interested in Age Management, nutritional support, weight management, intimate wellness, ozone technology, or additional therapies designed around their individual goals.
HOCATT gives RMI another option for patients who are interested in incorporating multiple wellness modalities into their personalized longevity and recovery plan.
Because it combines numerous technologies into one approximately 30-minute session, HOCATT also makes the concept of bio-stacking more convenient—allowing several complementary wellness approaches to become part of one experience.
Take the Next Step Toward Whole-Body Wellness
Healthy aging is about more than one hormone, one treatment, or one wellness technology.
It is about understanding how the different systems of the body work together and developing a personalized approach based on your health, symptoms, goals, and lifestyle.
If you are experiencing changes in energy, weight, mood, sleep, sexual wellness, recovery, or overall vitality—or you are interested in learning whether HOCATT may complement your existing wellness or hormone plan—the team at Regenerative Medical Institute can help.
